OUR STORY

Pebble & Paddy began with something simple: a stone picked from the quiet country lane by my childhood home, and the love of family stretched across the sea.

I am the youngest of nine children. While most of us remain here in Ireland, three of my siblings have made their lives in New York. After our father, Paddy, passed away, my sister Sinead found it incredibly difficult to return. 

One afternoon, after a call with Sinead, I walked the familiar path to my father’s house. An idea struck me to place a stone from that path into a frame, alongside a little verse, as a gift for her. 

That small stone became something greater. It was not just a pebble, it was comfort in familiar soil, the memory of our father, and the feeling of being forever connected to home, no matter the distance. 

From that moment, Pebble & Paddy was born. Together with my wife and sons, we now create unique framed artworks featuring real stones sourced from all 32 counties of Ireland, along with one special “Ireland” piece representing the country as a whole. Each frame includes a heartfelt verse that captures the spirit of its place, lovingly printed and mounted beside the stone. 

From the very beginning, it was important to us that everything be Irish made and Irish sourced, from the solid wood frames to the packaging, so that every detail carries the true spirit of Ireland. 

Pebble & Paddy is for anyone who misses home, for loved ones abroad, for those who cherish their roots, or simply for anyone who wants to hold a piece of Ireland close to their heart. 

For us, every pebble tells a story of love, belonging, and connection. It is our way of honouring where we come from and sharing the soul of Ireland, one frame at a time. At the heart of it all is Paddy, whose memory, love of family, and sense of home remain the foundation of Pebble & Paddy.
